Focus beats Distractions

Greetings All,

Don't let distractions cause you to have unnecessary mental fatigue. Spend a little time this week figuring out the issues in your life that entail deeper perseverance. Adjust your mindset to truly reflect the difficulty of the task that you have set for yourself.

Agreed?

Hmm is the task really difficult or are you making it difficult? Figure that out first and go from there. But before that, find a way to rest your mind so you can think clearly.

  2. Love the pic.. thanks for the reminder that mental distraction doesn't produce good fruit. We have been taught from GOD'S WORD what to do:
'Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.'

  3. For me, the task is usually not difficut at all. And bc of that, I'll tend to sometimes procrastinate in getting the job done (which is what causes the unnecessary mental fatigue). It's most definitely my lack of focus when I allow in the distractions. However, since this is today's subject, I'm going to pratice being more intentional this week, to pay attention when the distractions come so that I can minimize them. Thx for droppong that seed.

  5. I think that analysis paralysis is one big reason why I get distracted from moving forward with some ideas or goals. I want to imagine most outcomes and for the project to look amazing on the front end instead of starting with humble beginnings and refining as I go.

  7. Fear and uncertainty are often disguised as difficulty. Trying to face those things which are fearful and uncertain so that I can persevere with the "difficult" tasks ahead.
