Greetings All,
Continue to master the art of knowing how to tune out negative voices. Don't let the wrong people shape your way of thinking. Also, guard your mind against ways in which you unnecessarily negatively view yourself. Agreed?

Thanks for the reminder to keep negative voices and people away... get rid of the stinkin' thinkin' and stinkin' people. We have to keep our minds things of GOD and our goals. 'Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.'

Agreed. Thanks 2
DeleteThis is good stuff!! Although I haven't 'mastered' it yet, I now know & understand that in order 4 me 2 be able 2 tune out the negative voices & guard my mind, I must be intentional about the things that I choose 2 let shape my thoughts. For me those include, the books that I choose 2 read, the shows that I watch on TV, how much time I'm spending on social media, the things that I choose 2 listen 2 & YES.... most definitely the people that I choose 2 spend my time with!

The most important day is the day you decide you are good enough. It is the day you are free. Negativity will take a backseat. Strap it in and leave it there.

DeleteThe negative from others is minor compared to the negative stuff that I feed myself. I can make a deliberate decision to leave the presence of those who speak negatively into my life. I can’t leave myself- plain and simple. That being said, it becomes imperative that I be brutally honest about me and where my head is. Acknowledging the harmfulness of my own thoughts about me, then allows me the space to critique and to correct. What I have discovered about owning my stuff is when others try to present it to me as a negative, I shake it off like dandruff from a black shirt and move forward or accept it as confirmation of what I know already or Receive as information to be processed. Lord deliver me from me !
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. Thanks Reboot.
ReplyDeletePsalms 1 begins with Blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly.Nor stands in the path of the sinners.Nor sits in the seat of the scornful.
ReplyDeleteThat’s a mouthful!
Negativity is like leprosy. It will cling to you and spread all over. Negative voices will indeed shape your way of thinking. That is something we must all be extra conscious of.Life and death is in the power of the tongue.
Let’s always try to speak life family.Being a hard critic on self at times. I appreciate the reminder to guard self from self if you will.
Blessings!!!!
